Call for Art Submissions
Black Excellence History and Art Showcase
We are seeking Black community members who reside in Central Oregon to show their creative endeavors and artwork. Submissions can range from photography and painting to conceptual pieces, sculpture, design, textiles, and film, and more. All accepted artworks will be presented at an in-person show at the Pinckney Gallery in Pence Hall on the Central Oregon Community College in Bend, OR.
WHO CAN APPLY
The Living Black History Art Show is open to:
- Any Black community members that reside in Central Oregon.
- COCC and OSU-Cascades students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to submit work!
HOW TO APPLY
(APPLICATION CLOSED) Apply here by December 26, 2022, 11:59 PM PST
The application asks for general contact information, as well as information about your art.
Please be ready to submit:
- Three artwork images for consideration.
- Head shot of yourself.
A local exhibition coordinator will contact you in late December with further details.
Collaborations are welcome to apply with a single application; one person should be listed as the primary contact.
We ask that participants remain aware of the department's commitment to inclusion, belonging, and the Central Oregon community. The Pinckney Gallery Steering Committee and participating student association reserve the right to reject artwork that may be inappropriate or offensive.
