ORIENTATION/RESOURCE FAIR

  • How long does it take to complete the required learning activities?

This will vary depending on your experience in teaching and using Canvas. Please expect approximately two hours of reading for each Part One and Part Two,  not including the time to create and upload your course syllabus in your course.

  • Who will be at the Resource Fair?

You will be able to meet and ask questions from the following departments:

    • Admissions and Records
    • Human Resources
    • Student Life/Conduct
    • Diversity and Inclusion
    • Disability Services
    • eLearning
    • Library Services
    • Information Technology
  • Where should I park?

The easiest places to park will be the lot in front of Newberry Hall - Lot C1 on the map linked below - or the Library main lot (Lot D4) which is directly across the road from Cascades Hall.

  • What should I bring with me?

If you will be spending the majority of your time creating instructional content on a personal device, we recommend you bring that device with you.

Otherwise, we will have a laptop cart available as well as everything else you'll need!

  • How am I paid for completing the Orientation?
Part time faculty are eligible for compensation for time spent completing the Orientation components. For each of the three components completed, you'll be paid $50 (for up to $150 total), which will be included in your last paycheck of the term.
  • What if I can't attend the Resource Fair?

While we'll miss seeing you in person, please do complete the first two components of the Orientation! Any specific questions you have after completing those lessons can be directed at the appropriate department contact.
