These are not legitimate e-mails. The ITS Department works to block senders as well as any external e-mail accounts referenced. Do not respond to suspicious emails. Instead, forward any potential phishing emails to abuse@cocc.edu.

The phishing email seeks the user information via means that are not legitimate. Please be alert, this is phishing and is not an authentic email. The sender is beckk@district90.org, and this sender is now being actively blocked.

This most recent phishing attack has included an image of an invoice from McAfee. This image makes it difficult to block using keywords.

Two recent phishing expeditions have seen widespread distribution in an attempt to harvest credentials, user names and passwords:

The first one is an offer of a "too good to be true" work from home opportunity. There is a link to a form where the attacker asks for login information;

The following "Office 365" phishing attempt is a scam where the sender tricks you into thinking you have two logins, and then are redirected to provide your username and password;
